The Entrepreneurship in Southeast Asia program is designed to equip participants with the skills, insights, and practical tools necessary to successfully establish and grow business ventures across the dynamic markets of Southeast Asia.
For the purposes of this program, Southeast Asia refers specifically to the ASEAN region: Brunei, Cambodia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand.
This program emphasizes the development of key entrepreneurial competencies, the application of effective business models, the cultivation of essential cultural intelligence, and the acquisition of critical financial, fiscal, and legal expertise.
Participants will be thoroughly prepared to navigate the unique business environment of the region.
The curriculum spans a total of 10 days and is structured around two comprehensive modules.

Module 1: Introduction to Southeast Asia and Entrepreneurial Foundations:

Intercultural Business Communication (1 day)

Entrepreneurial Skill Development (2 days)

Module 2: Business Practices in Southeast Asia – Legal and Regulatory Frameworks (2 days)

- Financial planning, asset management, and risk mitigation strategies in Southeast Asia.
Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (half day)
- Best practices for socially responsible entrepreneurship and the broader societal impact of business activities.
Case Studies, Guest Lectures, and Program Conclusion (2 days)

Post-program support
Upon completion, participants interested in launching ventures within Southeast Asia will have access to complimentary advisory support.
Optional field excursions to selected ASEAN countries are also available to deepen regional understanding and expand professional networks.
Program delivery
The program is delivered by a distinguished team of Dutch entrepreneurs based in Southeast Asia and lecturers affiliated with Utrecht Business School, notably UBS International.
Audience
The program is intended for both established and aspiring entrepreneurs who seek to explore or pursue business opportunities in Southeast Asia, particularly within the ASEAN region. It is also suited for individuals aiming to enhance their entrepreneurial competencies across strategic, operational, and intercultural dimensions.
Program level
While the curriculum is designed for individuals with a higher professional or academic level, formal qualifications are not mandatory for admission.
Motivated entrepreneurs at all stages are encouraged to apply.

The program commences on a monthly basis. Classes are held biweekly on Thursdays, from 15:00 to 21:00.
